PHOTOS: In Descending Order

Below is a collection of random cellphone snapshots from 2011. Since I posted a whopping 20 times last year, the majority of the low-res, grainy, moderately out of focus images are a few moments in time from California, British Columbia, Vermont, Montreal, Utah, Colorado, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Mammoth Lakes, New Hampshire, Nevada; completely new to the blog.

Enjoy.

Every 2 weeks, it's a near guarantee that you will find an artist, band, or performer doing something in LA that is worthwhile. This fall, I was lucky enough to catch DJ Shadow at the Music Box in Hollywood. So stoked.

All smiles here.
Running on the beach is fantastic. You can go for miles completely uninterrupted and void of people. As strange as it sounds, very few people go to the beach from Oct - April and it's one of the most serene places in all of SoCal
The time of sunset is defined in astronomy as the moment the trailing edge of the Sun's disk disappears below the horizon in the west.

While searching for locations to shoot the look book and dealer catalog, it snowed a casual 2.5 feet in Mammoth, CA. Although the mountain looks completely covered and nearly perfect 140mph winds made the new snow completely vanish within a few hours time.
Not to be mistaken for a European ski village, the Mammoth Mountain Inn is one of the best places to stay while shredding Mamm.

New York, New York. Overexposed and awkwardly saturated, just the way it should be. My parents moved out of the city when I was 3 and I couldn't be happier with their decision.
Montreal, Canada.
Elkins, NH at my brothers house near Pleasant Lake. Prior to this photo being taken, we were probably shooting guns, hiking, or swimming in the lake.
This here is my parents' neighbor in NH. She's 4 years old, full of awesome, and comes over to visit my mom, play board games, hang out, and eat cookies. I'm glad she's taking care of things when I'm gone.
After living far too close to one of the most polluted cities in the country, it's refreshing to come back to New Hampshire and breathe some of the cleanest, most refreshing air in the States.
My cousin Brian is epic. He likes the show me skateboard tricks.
My brother lives close to an alpaca farm.
While cleaning out his barn, my brother found a bottle of bourbon form 1947. I think it's bout time we open it up!
Clean, friendly, and easy; just the way I like it at MHT.
Venturing back home after being gone for two years.
Red eye flights from Cali are never a good idea. Don't take them, don't be enticed by spending $100 less on airfare, and by no means should you travel via Newark at 5am.

Kaya is completely insane, but she's such an epic dog to have around the office.

I'm no automotive expert, but that doesn't look good at all
A casual 45 minutes away, lies a playground of epic proportions in the San Bernardino National Forest. Every opportunity and spare day I get, I'm up here getting lost and having fun at Mount Baldy, Mountain High, or the surrounding area.
Dinner before Retallack: The Movie at the RedBull HQ in LA. Epic little French cafe.

Hipsters are awesome. They do all sorts of awesome things like collect vinyl and ride fixed gear bikes really fast through traffic. Here, my friend Ian Wade props up his favorite vinyl purchase of 2011.

Alex and I moved into an apartment 2 miles form work in May. For some reason, it took us until July to furnish it and make everything comfortable.
One of my favorite places in all of SoCal has to be the Laguna Wilderness. Very few people go, it's really intense, and the trails offer limitless opportunity for running, biking, and hiking,

Not to be confused with a fan, this here is the Dyson Air Multiplier. Despite a fancy name, this device does very little to cool the surrounding area.
My apartment complex makes me feel like I'm on a permanent vacation. Something about pools and palm trees are really relaxing.
One of my favorite days in all of 2011 was July 4th. We ventured to the river and it was one of the most exciting, hilarious, and outlandish times I have ever had. It's like combing an episode of spring break from 96' with Harley Davidson and the Marlborough Man, with the entire cast of pimp my ride.

Just another pool around the apartment complex. Why wouldn't we light it at night?
This here is Spooky. She's the neighborhood cat that everyone looks after.
Sometimes, finding out you have to work at 9pm the night before your flight isn't the most fun.
